My mom said she likes to get her birthday cakes here. So, I stopped by and was able to walk away with a cake in hand. This is their affordable Specialty cake
I ordered a 3/4 milhojas cake the day before a baby shower over the phone for pickup by 1pm the next day. It all felt very unofficial so I called the morning of the shower just to confirm that they had my order and they did. I had asked them to leave it blank until I get there because I wasn't sure if I wanted writing or if I would decorate it myself. They were fine with that. When I arrived there was just a blank cream banner across the cake. I had decided to decorate it myself so I didn't request writing. My car was parked right in front of the bakery so the man helped me carry it out to the trunk of my car. It was a very quick and easy process. I didn't get to try the cake because I had to leave early but I heard people enjoyed it.
1/24/25 I was on the hunt for a birthday cake. I usually go to red ribbon or 85 degrees, but I wanted something different. The last fruit/wafer tart cake I purchased was in Santa Ana, a while back. I check their reviews and decided to pop in to check it out. The store is very simple, not much space but straight the the point with item availability. The owner assured me all cakes were made fresh, a few times a day depending on demand. I decided to get 1/4 sheet cake for my FIL and BIL birthday dinner. I loved the skillful writing of the names. I also got a coffee cake slice to try. We ate the cake after dinner and everyone was impressed but how fresh and delicious it was. The wafer crisp was crispy (not soggy) and the cake was soft and delicious. The coffee cake was very coffee tasting. Since I don't drink coffee, it tasted strong for me. However, my husband and girls enjoyed it a lot. Reasonably priced bakery and much closer to home. I highly recommend you give them a try. Fresh ingredients, taste, and texture!
Fyi for anyone trying to stop by they are doing renovations and will be closed until Jan. 17,2025.
I absolutely love love love love this place I would 100% recommended. They are super friendly and I love their cakes. Their cakes are super moist and delicious, they can also customize your cake if you order in advance. I have placed a couple orders from them already and their service is always quick easy and fast, they're always my to go.
The cake was DELICIOUS! Staff was friendly and the place looked nice. Located in a busy shopping center. I could see it being hard to find parking on a weekend.
I called 5 days before pickup for a fruit cake without the cake part, only crispy "cookie." It's about $40 for 1/4 sheet sized. They say it feeds about 10-15 which is pretty accurate. It looks small but it's very filling. Pickup was easy and the staff was very nice. Delicious cake and very crispy. Fruit was not tart at all despite it being February.
If you're looking for a huge fruit cake to share with family, this is the place to be! I came in to the shop a day prior to when I wanted to pick up my order for their 1/2 size fruit cake that feeds about 25 people which was $60. I ordered this cake specifically for my husband's 35th birthday to share with his family which there was about 20 of us so it was the perfect size. I mean who doesn't like a not so sweet tasty cake with yummy fruits on top?! The inside of the cake consisted of vanilla sponge cake and "mil hojas" which is light layers of puff pastry. The outside of the cake had a variety of fruits like strawberries, grapes, pineapples, kiwis, and peaches. It was such a hit that the whole family killed it within that day. Both the adults and kids loved it! Definitely will be ordering this again for another family party :)
